A Search

Alighted upon the romantic notion of temples high on staggering cliffs, I paid a halfway sentence and thrust myself into inconvenient conveyance.

My expectations were stained green by the dealings of local people that could not see beyond me, my skin, my solitude.

Yet one among the many shared her seat with me.

She held my hand.

In her clammy hold I found the sanctuary that I so eagerly sought in ancient coves.
